Marquee

Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026

Marquee is a camera app for iPhone that also runs on iPad. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: Marquee does not collect your data.

Photos and camera

Marquee uses the camera to take photos while a show plays on the screen facing the people you photograph: the main screen on most iPhone models and on iPad, the outer display on iPhone Duo. In Green Room, Marquee also films short clips with sound, using the microphone only while a take is rolling; clips are kept, saved and shared exactly like photos. Photos are processed on your device. They are kept in the app's own library on your device, and saved to your Photos library or shared only when you choose to. Marquee asks only for permission to add photos, not to read your library.

Marquee does not upload your photos, does not run face recognition, and does not send images to us or to anyone else. To pick the best frame of a burst, Marquee uses Apple's on-device face detection; it does not identify anyone, and no face data is stored or sent.

Data we collect

None. Marquee has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking or data-collection software. We do not receive information about you, the people you photograph, or how you use the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information under Apple's Privacy Policy. Marquee only checks on your device, through Apple's StoreKit, whether you have an active purchase. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

Marquee can be used to photograph children (Peekaboo Playhouse is made for them). Because nothing leaves the device, no information about children is collected by us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
